I love this area of the courtyard at Holly Hedge Estate for wedding portraits, and I love the expressions on this couple as I photograph them. You can tell they are very much in love and are having a lot of fun during their portrait session. By deciding to add a strobe I accomplished several things which greatly improved this image. I made this image extra-special by having my assistant hold an off-camera flash behind them and out of sight. But you do see the effects. See how it adds light to the bride's face, makes her bridal gown pop, and showcases the ornate antique iron gates of Holly Hedge by creating those really cool ornate shadows in the lower part of the image? I love this.
