I love this photograph.
It's not just a photo of a Jewish wedding ceremony, it's a unique moment I captured.
I noticed how this boy broke the very even line of groomsmen leaning to the left, as he leaned to the right. What wonderful lines are created in this composition! I also used a shallow depth of field to make him stand out further from the background. All lines lead to the bride and groom exchanging vows under the Chuppah.
A Chuppah, or Huppah, is a bridal canopy under which a Jewish couple stands during their wedding ceremony. The bride and groom are joined by their parents and sometimes bridal party if it is large enough. I’ve seen many different styles of Huppahs, and they are all beautiful. They can be very elaborate or simply built; rustic or floral, beach Chuppahs or handmade. Pinterest is a great source for many different and beautiful ideas.
