It was an unexpectedly warm day for a fall wedding. Katie was so excited; the day was finally here. She has such a close family, and was fortunate enough to not only have her grandmother there, but her great grandmother as well. In fact, her great grandmother helped raise her while Katie’s mom was finishing her nursing degree. Katie even wore her grandmother’s and great-grandmothers rings as well as the ring from Chad.
Katie received her EMT license during her senior year of high school. While at Temple University, she joined the Temple University Emergency Medical Services, while Chad worked for the Temple University Police. The two met on a call in 2010.
Their first date was supposed to be a car show, but it got rained out. Instead of cancelling the date, they sat and talked for hours, watching a Flyers game with Chad’s son Connor.
Chad proposed on April 30th, 2016 at Tyler State Park in Newtown, Pa. They still love to go there frequently to walk their little dog Lexi.
