Woolverton Inn weddings are rustically elegant, fun and relaxed. Just across the river from New Hope in bucolic Stockton, N.J, it is an idyllic Bucks County venue for a country wedding. Named by TripAdvisor as one of the Top 10 B&Bs in the U.S., the venue offers 14 rooms with exclusive use of the inn for wedding guests. Woolverton Inn weddings are usually three-day weekend celebrations with indoor and outdoor events in the Horseshoe Garden, on the Great Lawn, and throughout the vast grounds.
Cocktail Hour is often held beneath spreading sugar maples, on the west patio, the front veranda or the patio facing the sheep pasture. And yes, there really are sheep!
Dinners and receptions are hosted beneath a large modern tent which sits atop a permanent wood platform.
When having a Woolverton Inn wedding you’ll have an on-site wedding planner working with you to help perfect your plans and style. Offering a six-hour wedding package for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, they provide referrals for catering, rentals and photography and I am proud to be on their vendor list.
The restored 18th-century barn on the property of the Woolverton Inn is the site of Northridge, a new restaurant in the New Hope-area up-scale dining scene. A separate business venture by the owners of the Inn, Mario and Mary Passalacqua and their chef Lance Knowling, offer sophisticated comfort food created with ingredients fresh from the Delaware River Valley.
Knowling was formerly executive chef at Manhattan's Butterfield 81 and at his own restaurant Blujeen. Northridge has become a culinary destination as well. Situated on the historic and scenic grounds it’s perfect for intimate Woolverton Inn weddings and parties. With high cathedral high ceilings and windows that look out on the surrounding farmland, fields and woodlands, you’ll have a view to remember along with unforgettable food and wine.
Northridge is open Wednesday through Saturday evenings, with Sunday Brunch on Sundays. For more information visit here.
The Woolverton also hosts micro-weddings, if you’re looking for a small-scale celebration. They host micro ceremonies in the parlor of the historic 1792 Stone Manor House, in the Horseshoe Garden, on the covered porch with views of the Great Lawn or under your favorite tree. You will have acres of scenic hills as the backdrop for your ceremony.
You can dine at Northridge, the Woolverton's new on-site restaurant open to the public, or at one of the many recommended restaurants in New Hope or Lambertville. Afterwards retire to one of the elegant guest suites or private cottages at the Woolverton, which feature double-whirlpool bath, fireplaces and king beds. A three-course breakfast can be delivered to your room the next morning.
Packages start at $1900 for up to 20 people. For that you would have a customized ceremony location either indoors or outdoors, a dedicated event coordinator, champagne toast, use of the common areas of the Inn, and one night stay either in a suite or a cottage for the wedding couple.
A Cocktail Hour and Reception would be additional, as would lodging for your guests.
Woolverton also offers customized small destination wedding packages for 20 to 50 people.
